Heidi Munger Clary, MD, MPH

Heidi M. Munger Clary, MD, MPH is an adult epileptologist whose research focuses on closing care gaps for anxiety and depression in epilepsy using implementation science and learning health system methods.  The overarching goal is to implement and test integrated care strategies in neurology clinics to close gaps for mental health comorbidities and improve outcomes.  She has completed formal training in implementation science and is currently PI of grants in this area funded by NCATS, DOD and the Duke Endowment. She is a Co-Investigator of the Wake Forest NeuroNEXT clinical site where she serves as Director of Career Enhancement and directs a research career development program. At Wake Forest, she is Director of Faculty Research Development for the Department of Neurology. Dr. Munger Clary is Co-Chair of the ILAE Integrated Mental Health Care Pathways Task Force, a member of the ILAE Psychiatry Commission, Chair of the AAN Epilepsy Quality Measurement Workgroup, and Co-Chair of the ACNS Resident and Fellow Education Committee. She also is an Epilepsy Currents Contributing Editor and Associate Editor of Epilepsia Open
